Strings Unlimited recorded a 3 song demo tape at Armstrong Studios in 1966 which was produced at their own expense.
In 1974, Ian Melthoid from the Peninsular radio station 'Southern', broadcast a special on John and contacted the other members of Strings Unlimited. He dusted off the demo tape they had recorded for airing on the show and five copies of the tape were cut to disc at Rambler Studios and each member of the band was given a copy.
